Welcome To Relatively Geeky Moms

When my son was in 5th grade he was given an assignment to do a report on any influential American.  While his classmates chose presidents alive and dead, sports heros, and American Indians; my beautifully geeky son chose Albert Einstein.  Einstein is more than a historical figure in our home.  He lives, breaths, and continues to thrive through my 12 year old son.
When I sat and thought about what I want to write about, what sort of blog I think the world should have, the first thing I thought of was the lack of support for mothers such as myself.  Mothers raising children who are loud and proud of their geek status.  Those young boys that flaunt their complete neurotic tendencies towards the nerds of this world.  The mothers who are raising the Einsteins, Hawkings, Galileos, and Da Vincis.  Those of us who sit with no sporting events to shuffle off to nor any Boy Scout meetings to attend but instead we cheer at science fairs and robot wars.  Those moms out there in the world that don't know the first thing about the rules of soccer but can tell you the intimate details of chemistry or physics.  For those moms who have sat up late into the night, silently dosing off, during a documentary on Mars (do you know what's interesting about Mars?  Not much!).  Yes, moms, this blog is for you.
In my blog I will not only share with you my experiences in raising my geek son but also where to buy the best t-shirts, the newest video games, the best documentaries, and coolest gadgets!  Hopefully we will form a sisterhood - a sisterhood of relatively geeky moms!
