Geek Power

I always had this feeling in my gut that at some point in time geeks would become the powerhouse of this nation.  At some point in time we went from brawny factory workers to computer geeks as the backbone of our nation.  The good news?  While I honestly think too many factories have left our nation and that it is such a horrible waste to get rid of the industry that built us - my child is a geek and his brain is now appreciated!  In the words of the great Leonard Hofstadter "In the information age, Sheldon, you and I are the Alpha Males." (oh come on like you didn't know I would mention Big Bang Theory?).
The upcoming generation, including my son, have been raised with technology our forefathers could never even conceive.  Those children who are the computer geeks, gamers, little chemists, physicists, and engineers; they are our future and I have no doubt they will make the world a better place.
